WordPress email cutover checklist
Plan a WordPress site's email move with a printable checklist for mailbox inventory, MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, clients, delivery observations, and rollback.
Use this worksheet to coordinate one WordPress site's business email move between mail providers. Record values and outcomes from the provider accounts and DNS console you control. This page stores no checklist state and does not query DNS, send messages, or verify delivery.

Migration behavior, record values, mailbox features, and DNS timing depend on the selected providers and domain configuration. This worksheet records your own checks; it does not read accounts, query DNS, validate SPF/DKIM/DMARC, test delivery, migrate mail, or provide a universal rollback guarantee. For website files, URLs, and broader infrastructure tasks, use the site migration checklist; for mailbox copy-time arithmetic, see the mailbox migration transfer-time planner.
How it works
Record the source and destination providers, inventory mailboxes and senders, and work through preparation, copy, cutover, observation, and rollback checks. Enter only values and outcomes verified in your own provider accounts; this page does not query DNS or test delivery.
Good to know
Does this checklist verify MX, SPF, DKIM, or DMARC records?
No. Record the values from your DNS console and follow the current source and destination provider instructions. The page does not query DNS, parse records, or test authentication or delivery.
Should I change MX before copying mailboxes?
Migration sequences depend on the source and destination services. Follow both providers' current migration instructions and identify when new mail begins routing to the destination. A mailbox data copy alone does not switch inbound routing.
Are checklist entries saved?
No. Entries and checkmarks are held only in the open page and are not saved or sent to a server. Use Print or save checklist to keep a copy, and do not enter passwords or sensitive mail data.
